Meraki luxury jazz band are among the finest jazz musicians available for hire in the UK. Having perfected their practice at some of the top music conservatories in the world, they provide clients with specialist expertise in delivering favorite jazz and swing standards, be it cool background jazz to complement a dinner or drinks reception or hot jazz with a swing to fill the dance floor! Perfect for any occasion, they are hired to perform at wedding receptions, birthday parties, corporate events, christmas dos, charity balls and award ceremonies to name a few, lighting up any event with first-class, tailored entertainment!
The group can be hired as a duo, through to quintet. These line-up options suit particular types of events, venues and budgets differently. If you are having an intimate event with limited space, their voice and piano duo is perfect and is sure to suit most budgets. You can go on to add a bit more presence and drive with the double bass, both a musical and visual plus! The trio will provide elegant background music to which a saxophone can be added to compliment the texture. If you want to crank it up a bit and are after the sort of swing you can dance to, including a drummer in the mix is sure to get the toes tapping! Where possible, the full quintet is recommended for the richest of sounds.
The group has an extensive repertoire of jazz & swing classics as well as specialised sets including postmodern (perfect for a gatsby-themed event), smooth popular hits, latin jazz, trad jazz, songs for ballroom dance and of course Christmas numbers. You can hand-pick your own setlist from their repertoire list (linked below) and make up to three new requests. Alternatively, Jennifer will compile the ideal setlist for your event. The group provides all of their own professional sound equipment. You can have your choice of music played through their PA system before the live music begins and during any breaks, alternatively, they will provide suitable music.
Meraki Jazz’s standard package includes up to 120mins performance time in one location over a 4hr period on site (including 1hr set up), although other arrangements can gladly be accommodated. Jennifer and her group would love to hear from you to discuss how they can enhance your event. All professional sound equipment included as standard as well as the option of having your own choice of music played through the PA before the live music begins and during breaks. Alternately, suitable music will be provided.
Ambient lighting available on request.
Use of microphone for speeches.
